Customer’s Need
The issue was the efficiency of the 17th drying chamber, which was compromised due to its position in the system, leading to a heat deficit. In practice, this meant that the heat valve regulating the chamber’s operation had to be manually adjusted.
Project Scope and Novel Engineering OÜ’s Role in the Project:
The project aimed to find a solution to eliminate the existing problem. The solution involved reconfiguring the system and replacing the return-flow pump, which extracted air from the chamber, with a solution that pushes air through the chamber. After a successful pilot project and testing, the new system was gradually extended to an additional 7 chambers.
As a result of the investment, the average drying chamber process time decreased by approximately 20%.
